Keys of Change

Good morning and welcome to another week. This week we are going to address five areas we have to deal with in order to change our lives. The first area begins with this question: Have you opened your mind to the possibilities that are available to you? This is something you must do to set yourself up to change.

Two things that you need on your path of success are Determination and Belief. They open your mind to be or do anything that you may desire. You start this process by planting the thoughts of success in your mind.

We all have thoughts, of course, but let’s start by breaking them into positive or negative. Maybe your dream is to buy your first home. Right now it’s tough to get a mortgage, so you could have negative thoughts as a result. Maybe you don’t feel you can get that house. You don’t think you will be able to find the money to make the dream happen.

The key to change today is to open our mind to find the determination to achieve this dream and to believe that it will come to pass. For if you close off positive thinking in your mind and fill it with negative thoughts then you will never achieve the goal you are seeking. So what should you do to change your mind? How do you open your mind to think positive again?

1.  Self-examination. Take a look at what you have going on that is working, and write it down. Then take a look at what is not working and write that down. Look at both lists an see how you visualize each of these situations. How do they compare to your determination and belief?

2.  Change your programming. You do this by first changing what you say. The very words that come out of your mouth are what are giving you the belief in what you’re going to do after you say it. So start changing what you say.

3.  Control your outside influences. See who your friends are and what their beliefs are. If you have a friend who you spend a lot of time with and they do not believe in themselves, soon their lack of confidence will limit your determination to reach your own goals. Also what shows are you watching on TV, what books are you reading? If you find yourself always reading stories that are built on fantasy, they have no grounded truth. You will always be chasing dreams that you are not able to reach. If you read books that help to grow your self-belief then you will become a more confident person in who you are.

Many people in our world have been told that they do not have the ability, the power, or the skills to make the dreams they have come true. Yet, they find ways to open their minds to become what they want. Some people have been told that they cannot focus on things in life. So, to overcome, they start doing mind games that help the mind learn new things. This is a way we open our minds. Next time you see a man on a plane doing a crossword puzzle he may be exercising his mind to learn to focus on things.

Believe you can achieve the dream that you have, start to train your mind to focus your belief and determination to make life happen for you. Open your mind to think of other ways that you never thought of before. With that have a good day. Tomorrow I’ll help you change life by learning to re-write your reality.
